The Long Tides

Created and performed by Nicole Quenelle
Premier: Philadelphia Fringe Festival, September 15-22, 2016

How do we measure time? What is contained in a moment? And just what are we waiting for, anyway? In The Long Tides, a solo artist explores the interconnected themes of work, time and solitude in a piece that is at turns clown-movement character study, corporate seminar, and poignant audit of how we spend our minutes--and what happens in the moments that stand out.

The Wakeup Call

Created and performed by Nicole Quenelle
Mask by Matteo Destro
Premier in Florence, Italy 2012
Further development, TBD

This solo piece performed in full mask tells the story of a woman and her many attempts, both comic and poignant, to rouse her snoring husband in the next room. Her simple endeavor to wake him for a morning jog takes her on a journey of nostalgia, memory, and longing, both real and illusory.

A Spy in the House of Love (adaptation)
